Multiplexing of Signals using Superframes

چکیده

In this paper I intend to present the concept of superframes and its use, primarily, in multiplexing techniques. The signals are supposed band limited and three multiplexing schemes are considered: Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Frequency Hoping Multiple Access (FHMA). The rst two schemes give rise to tight superframes, whereas for FHMA, the associated superframes are more complex. For some such superframes the dual superframe is obtained in closed form. An example of a FHMA scheme is also presented.

Quadrature Amplitude Modulation All Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing-dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing-optical Wireless Communication System under Different Weather Conditions

This paper proposes an analytical model for evaluating the performance of dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) for all optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (AO-OFDM) optical wireless channel. The investigated performance for proposed system is evaluated for the parameters  bit error rate (BER) and Q factor .The constellation diagrams, and bit error rate (BER) of the recei...

Suppression of Four Wave Mixing Based on the Pairing Combinations of Differently Linear-Polarized Optical Signals in WDM System

Data transmission in optical systems and increased transmission distance capacity benefit by using optical amplification wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology. The combination of four waves (FWM) is a non-linear effect in the wavelength division multiplex (WDM), when more than two wavelengths of light in a fiber launch will occur. FWM amount depends on the channel, the channel spaci...

Acoustic event detection and localization with regression forests

This paper proposes an approach for the efficient automatic joint detection and localization of single-channel acoustic events using random forest regression. The audio signals are decomposed into multiple densely overlapping superframes annotated with event class labels and their displacements to the temporal starting and ending points of the events. Using the displacement information, a multi...

Density and Redundancy of the Noncoherent Weyl-Heisenberg Superframes

In this paper I shall present the construction of Weyl-Heisenberg superframes and density results related to the noncoherent case. A superframe is a collection of r-frames F = ff i ; i 2 Ig H1, : : : , F r = ff i ; i 2 Ig Hr all having the same countable index set I such that F = ff i f r i ; i 2 Ig is a frame for the Hilbert spaceH = H1 Hr. For the Weyl-Heisenberg superframes we set H1 = = Hr ...

Online Supplement for Probabilistic vs. Sequence-Based Rendezvous in Channel-Hopping Cognitive Networks

Our probabilistic rendezvous mechanism will operate in the context of a recently described MAC protocol [8], [10]. In this protocol, nodes are organized in piconets managed by a coordinator node, similar to in Bluetooth [4]; any node with sufficient computational capability may take up this role. Time is slotted into unit slots and organized in superframes, as shown in Fig. 1. We assume that th...
